Terminology Explanation
SMS Categories
SMS is classified into verification codes, notification messages, and membership service messages based on different application scenarios and purposes.

SMS Content
SMS content consists of two parts: the SMS signature and the SMS body. The SMS signature must be applied for before sending and can be invoked at the time of sending. The SMS body can use the corresponding SMS template, which must also be applied for before sending.
| Example: |
|---|
| 1. SMS Content: 【UCloud Global】Alert: Your cloud host BigLady/CPU usage is 98% (alert when CPU usage > 95%); Alert object: 192-168-XYZ-1; Region: Beijing One; Alert time: 2020-06-18 18:18:18 1.1. SMS Signature: 【UCloud Global】 1.2. SMS Body: Alert: Your cloud host BigLady/CPU usage is 98% (alert when CPU usage > 95%); Alert object: 192-168-XYZ-1; Region: Beijing One; Alert time: 2020-06-18 18:18:18 1.3. SMS Template: Alert: Your cloud host {1}/{2} is {3} (alert when {4} > {5}); Alert object: {6}; Region: {7}; Alert time: {8} |
SMS Signature
The SMS signature is one of the components of the specific SMS content to be sent, usually placed before the SMS body, used to identify the enterprise entity or product business. Users can create personalized SMS signatures that match their attributes according to the business needs of the account’s affiliated organization.
| Example: |
|---|
| Certified Enterprise: Cloud Factory Technology Co., Ltd. Based on the enterprise name, SMS signatures like 【Cloud Factory】 and 【UCloud Global】 can be applied for, or SMS signatures like 【Cloud Database】, 【Cloud Host】 can be applied for based on product business attributes. |
The SMS signature can only be used after passing review. The application requires users to provide corresponding qualification proof materials (enterprise users need to upload enterprise qualification proof, personal users need to upload personal identification). The SMS signature review standards can be found in SMS Signature Review Standards.
SMS Template
The SMS template is an important component of the specific SMS content to be sent, generally equivalent to the SMS body. SMS templates can be customized through parameters to achieve personalized SMS content.
| Example: |
|---|
| 1. SMS Template: 【UCloud Global】Your phone is being added as an alert notifier! Please confirm it is you. Your verification code is: {1} 2. Parameter Explanation: {1} is a variable in the template. The variable format: {N}, where N is an integer starting from 1. If the template has multiple parameters, N should start from 1 and increase consecutively. |
SMS templates are distinguished into the following categories based on the recipient’s region and SMS category:
| Sending Region | SMS Category | Usage Instructions |
|---|---|---|
| Domestic SMS | Verification Code | |
